MUSC Physicians, formerly known as University Medical Associates, is the physician group of the MUSC Medical Center, providing services ranging from prevention and wellness to highly specialized care at outpatient clinics and facilities both on the MUSC campus and extending into the community. MUSC Physicians has the widest range of specialty care available at any medical center in South Carolina.
Why are we changing our name to MUSC Physicians?
This change is being done as a marketing strategy to enhance our organizational identity on both a local and national level by clearly defining our relationship to the Medical University of South Carolina. The name MUSC Physicians will simplify who we are in the minds of our customers/patients, in order to enable us to grow and achieve even greater success throughout the state of South Carolina.

MUSC Physicians strives to operate as a multispecialty group practice to further patient care, medical education and research.
