The Central Business Office (CBO) handles billing and insurance matters for all the CFC offices. Insurance claims are initially submitted directly by the doctor's office. If there is a problem with the claim, or further information is needed by the insurance Company, the CBO takes responsibility to insure the claim is properly prepared for payment. In addition, the CBO is responsible for insuring that payments received are credited to the proper account. The office staff is available to help any patient with a question or concern about their bill which cannot be answered by the doctor's office. With their collective experience in dealing with billing issues, our CBO can handle just about any billing problem you might have. CFC's Referral Office is responsible for making sure that a physician's referral is properly arranged. If a physician recommends that you need a consultation or study performed, it is very likely that the Referral Office will be involved in making the appointment. Their trained and experienced staff will work with you and the doctor or hospital so your appointment time is prompt and convenient. When necessary, the office will also obtain pre certification from the insurance company. As we all know, insurance regulations and restrictions are very complex and confusing. The Referral office makes every effort to be sure your referral meets the requirement of your insurer. However, patients remain responsible for confirming they are seeing physicians approved by their insurers, or for obtaining proper pre certification. Your Referral Office can help you through this process.
