Farmers Market- Get your fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers right here at MUSC! Every Friday from 7am until 3:30pm in the Horseshoe, behind Charleston Memorial Hospital and now at Harborview Office Towers.

Helping Hands Food Drive (From Nov 4th-Nov 11th)-
Join a team or donate on your own. This food drive will benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank. There will be a raffle for those that participate. Click here for more details and/or download the flyer to post in your area here

Free Lunch and Learn: Tips for Enjoying the Holidays WITHOUT the Weight Gain- Learn important dietary, activity and behavioral tips to help you manage your weight over the holiday season! Class is November 18th from 12-1pm at the Weight Management Center. See flyer for more details. Registration is required

New Tobacco Surcharge- Effective January 1, 2010 if you or any dependents covered on your health insurance smoke or use tobacco you will pay the additional surcharge of $25 per month. ALL employees are required to certify whether they are anyone covered on their health plan are tobacco users. If you do not use tobacco products you need to complete the certification to be eligible for the lower premium. Go here for more information. Lunchtime Losers- will start TBD. This is a 10 week weight loss program for MUSC employees designed to fit your schedule AND pocketbook. It meets on Wednesdays at noon at the Institute of Psychiatry and cost just $98! The program is offered by MUSC weight loss professionals to help you learn how to adopt healthy eating patterns and exercise habits. Circuit Training Class- Don't Short-Circuit your exercise routine. Learn how to create a 30 minute circuit utilizing your own body and simple equipment then recreate that same circuit at home or while traveling. Women's Health Lunch and Learn Series- This takes place the 4th Tuesday of every month in the Children's Hospital from 12pm-1pm. Bring your lunch and learn about important health topics. Click here for topics and dates.

Wellness Teams Competition- Tour the 7 Wonders of the World AND Develop a Healthier Lifestyle by joining or starting a Health 1st Wellness Team. The competition will go from TBD. FREE pedometers and log books will be given to all team members and coach will receive a hat as well. Click on the Team Competitions link to the left for more information

FREE Yoga Classes for Cancer Survivors-
Classes are led by Stacy Abbattista on Tuesdays from 4pm until 5pm at Hollings Cancer Center room 120. This class is for survivors wanting to gain strength, movement and control lost during treatment. Learn more by clicking here

Running Club- Join MUSC's running club on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm. This is for ANY pace. See flyer for details.

Worksite Screening- Subscribers of the State Health Plan can receive this thorough preventive health screening right here at work! This screening is available:

This screening, valued at $200, is available to you for only $15 (spouses can participate for $15 and dependents for $42)! Employees without this insurance can participate for $42. This screening includes: height, weight, blood pressure and a blood draw for blood chemistry profile, hemogram, and a blood lipid profile. See flyer here for more details

Mobile Van: Mammogram-Looking for a convenient way to have your mammogram? The Hollings Cancer Center van is coming to serve you on October 21st from 9am-3pm. Click here for more details and to schedule an appointment
