**Farmers Market- Get your fresh fruits and vegetables (flowers now too!) from local farmers right here at MUSC! Every Friday from 7am until 3:30pm in the Horseshoe area (location is subject to change and will be announced on broadcast and the Health 1st website). **NEW LOCATION: You can now also get fruits and vegetables at Charleston Memorial Hospital (grassy area in back, next to the parking garage and ART) from 7am until 3:30pm on Fridays
Wellness Teams Competition- Tour the 7 Wonders of the World AND Develop a Healthier Lifestyle by joining or starting a Health 1st Wellness Team. The competition will go from September 1st to November 30th. FREE pedometers and log books will be given to all team members and coach will receive a hat as well. Winner's will receive a winner's certificate and Whole Foods bags filled with delicious, healthy groceries from Whole Foods. 2 Mile Wellness Run/Walk- Come celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Harper Student Wellness Center on September 20th. Registration includes a FREE week membership at the Harper Student Wellness Center. The race begins at 8am. Click here for more information
Smoking Cessation Class- Ready to quit.....FOR LIFE? Health 1st and Dr. Robert Mallin of the Dept of Family Medicine want to help you succeed! Sign up for this series of FREE classes in the College of Nursing room 524. You must attend all sessions which will take place on Sept 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and Oct 2 from 12pm until 1pm. YOu will receive a free medical consultation and prescriptions will be written for any approved smoking cessation medications. Call 792-9959 to register.
AHA 2008 Start! Lowcountry Heart Walk- You are invited to join the MUSC team for this upcoming walk celebrating the promotion of physical activity and heart healthy living in a fun, family and dog friendly environment. The walk is on September 20th starting from Liberty Square near the Aquarium (FREE parking) at 9am but family activities start at 8am. See flyer for more details.
FREE Yoga Classes for Cancer Survivors- Classes are led by Stacy Abbattista on Tuesdays from 4pm until 5pm at Hollings Cancer Center room 120. This class is for survivors wanting to gain strength, movement and control lost during treatment. Learn more by clicking here
Running Club- Join MUSC's running club on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm. This is for ANY pace. See flyer for details.
Worksite Screening- Subscribers of the State Health Plan can receive this thorough preventive health screening right here at work!

This screening, valued at $200, is available to you for only $15 (spouses can participate for $15 and dependents for $38)! Employees without this insurance can participate for $38. La Leche League- Breastfeeding? Or considering it? La Leche League of Charleston offers mother-to-mother support, monthly meetings, and telephone help from accredited leaders.
